About

At longtradr.com, we focus on long term investing driven by strategic thinking, independent analysis, and a deep interest in how businesses really work. We will primarily focus on Lindy stocks, companies that have stood the test of time, which at the time of writing also exhibit a low monthly oversold RSI value. An explanation of this approach will follow after the introduction and in more detail on the Science page.

We believe that successful investing is not about chasing hype, but about understanding companies, building conviction, and making decisions that are both defensible and full of long term opportunity.

The ideas and insights shared here are based on years of personal investing experience. I combine that with an academic background that includes a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategy and Innovation. This blend of practical and academic experience shapes how companies are analyzed and discussed on this platform.

Longtradr.com is not about giving stock tips. It is about sharing thoughtful perspectives, clear reasoning, and useful frameworks that help long term investors think better and act with more confidence.

If that resonates with you, welcome! You’re in the right place. However, this content is not financial advice.

At longtradr.com, the main focus is on identifying long lasting companies, often referred to as Lindy stocks, that have proven their value over time. The Lindy effect suggests that the longer something has existed, the more likely it is to continue existing. In investing, this means that companies with a long and stable history may offer more predictability, resilience, and durability in the long run.

We combine this concept with a technical indicator called the Relative Strength Index (RSI), measured on a monthly basis. A low monthly RSI value can indicate that a stock is in an oversold condition, meaning that market sentiment may be overly negative or short sighted. This often creates a more attractive entry point for patient investors. When a company is both historically strong and currently out of favor in terms of momentum, it may present a rare combination of quality and opportunity.

This approach forms the core of longtradr.com. While the platform mainly focuses on this type of investing, we occasionally explore promising disruptive technologies that are at an earlier point in their life cycle but may hold long term potential. In addition, we may cover some of the more established cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, though this plays a smaller role compared to the equity based strategy.

The underlying thinking and applied theories behind this approach are explored in more depth on the Science page of the website.

To the right of this section (or below on mobile), you will find an image that shows examples of well known Lindy companies. In the highlighted part of the included chart, you can see how a low monthly RSI value typically appears when using technical indicators — helping you recognize potential entry points more easily.
